The Oatmeal Murders Kittens, Gets Millions

Seriously, sort of.

It's been less than three days, and the kickstarter for The Oatmeal's Card Game, Exploding Kittens, has detonated past the original goal of $10,000 and at the time of this writing is sitting at 2.7 million dollars. There are four reward tiers, and the only stretch goal so far is based on the number of backers, currently at 71,000+. If it hits 100,000, they'll make more NSFW cards for the NSFW deck.

I have no idea what this Oatmeal thing is or what any of these people are, but it's been obvious since back when Newgrounds was a hot new thing that there's a large market for over the top insane surrealist humour, which is what this card game runs on. In fact, I mention Newgrounds because that's precisely what the Kickstarter video for Exploding Kittens reminds me of.
