Alright, what is your favorite booze and why, and how do you enjoy it?

My boozing taste is pretty much wide-range, but I love Vodka above alll; especially Vodka Martini. My best drinking moment is after taking a night shower, still wearing a bathrobe, then go to the balcony and smoking a cigarette over a glass of Vodka Martini while enjoying the city lights at night.

(And yes, Josh. Despite I like to be a cowboy and such, deep in my heart I'm still a city-born metro.)

Beer is also great for accompanying you in watching football games or the likes. For me, my beer moments is mostly when playing computer games.

Whiskey.. I dunno' how but I can only enjoy it straight.

So how about you folks?

Any alchoholic drinks with little or no alchohol (Fruit stuff) or sweet delicate red wine or Sake or Plum wine mmm.

Cant understand why anyone would drink beer or vodka unless it's for the sole reason of wanting to get wasted,
(I can understand that desire to loosen up though ;) )

Yeeeeccchh!! Those cocktails! Now unless they're Vodka-based..... (alright, Pina Colada is still nice, but still...)

But I'm agree with Wine and Sake, though. :D

Hey, Beer doesn't even count as alcohol! It's more like softdrinks. You now, for relaxing activities like watching the game or surfing the web. ;)

To be fair, alcohol could harm if overused, and if you haven't been drinking yet, better not starting. It's more healthy if you don't drink. ;)

However, for those of us already drinking... Well, what's your favorite?

*looks around* Ah, neither Petro and his shotgun ain't here, so....

Yes, I agree with you, Brothers. Alcohol is sin. They are beverages made by Satan himself. Imagine how your mother would grief finding her son commiting such sinful act of drinking alcohol?

But how about those of us who are less fortunate? Those of us who already indulge ourselves in such sinful activities? Would God still save us from our horrible deeds? :(

Aha! I know. We can still find some constructive activities to keep ourselves from drinking the sinful beverages that is alcohol. Even now, I start find myself delighted in the hobby of knitting. And watching Disney movies! Yes, I urge you to watch the movie Bambi. Oh, Bambi is so cute! So innocent! We can learn so much from his innocence. Yes, imagine how Bambi's mother would grief if she find her son drunk or doing more horrible sins like smoking marijuana.

Image

See, people? See the picture above? Aren't they cute? Now please tell me how would it fail to arouse the tenderness inside your heart? Thus keeping you from sinful activities like drinking alcohol?

But if it doesn't work, how about collecting stuffed animals? See how cute they are:

Image

Now imagine if, after commiting the sinful act of drinking, then you vomit upon those cutie animals. While you can always bring them to laundry service, mind you that your blasphemous vomit, resulted from your own sinful deed, of course, can make them dirty beyond cleaning! Then you would have to throw them away. Now do you have the heart to dump such cute little creatures?

Now see the picture.
Image
Look at him, Brother. Notice how cute he is. Now tell me, Brother, do you have the heart of throwing him into your garbage can because you cannot clean him anymore, thanks to your horrible sin of drinking alcohol? Now how about the happiness, the joy, the tenderness feelings in your heart by hugging him all this time? Would you give it up for alcohol?

*hugs everyone*

Actually alcohol can burn anywhere where there's oxygen. :P
I'm mainly a beer drinker, myself, but the occasional good scotch or irish whisky I won't turn down. I LOVE cocktails.
I won't touch tequila no matter what.
And KAN, you're weird.
But he already knew that.

IIRC you're a German, right? Is that true that German beer is more 'heavy' than American beer? What brand you would reccommend? I also heard in summer there's a 'beer festival' where everyone can drink for free!

Batman wrote:but the occasional good scotch or irish whisky I won't turn down.
Not to mention Irish coffee. Hey, it doesn't count as cocktail!

Petro would disagree. :P

Weird? How would you think it's weird? Ah, how unfortunate you are, Brother. Worry not, o sinful one, and be happy, because I come with joyous news! If you please give me some times, then I would be more than happy to enlighten your soul. Then you will find yourself a new person! A happier person with reformed soul who no longer committing sinful deeds!

My current favorite is Sambuca. Mainly because I like the liquorish flavor amd it's high alcohol content. Less effort and time to get drunk that way.

I haven't found one beer I liked the taste of honestly, so I only have it during social occasions.

Haven't gone drinking for quite some time lately...just no time or will to do so.

Absinth, Bud Light in beer (for Domestics) call me a solid irish black and tan if I can find one about for imported.

Whiskey is good, Crown or JD.

Vodka is ok....though I don't indulge often

So, guys, what is your best drinking moment? How do you enjoy your drink best?

Like I said, Vodka is my companion when enjoying the city lights... How 'bout you guys?

Do you enjoy drinking it with the flame on as well? ;)

Never tried it, don't plan to either. Something about drinking flaming blue hot liquid puts me off.

Flaming burning alchohol drenched pinapple is delicous, beautiful and cool considering you can pour blue fire over it :D

There is no alcohol but tequila, and Jose Cuervo is its distiller.

Then of course, there is cider, which falls under the tequila exemption because Petro likes it, damn it. And there's nothing unmanly about liking cider, as Allen knows well. :P

Bundeburg rum & coke. Bundy rum is, I'm told, a little different to better known types of rum. It is a sort of icon in Queensland where it is made and something of an acquired taste. People keep giving me bottles of it because they find the idea of a chick who drinks rum so entertaining.

Vodka with either Red Bull or lime & soda, depending on what kind of mood I'm in.

Red wine. Particularly fond of a nice merlot. To be enjoyed strictly in moderation. Experience has shown that you can definitely have too much of a good thing. Given me some of the worst hangovers in my life.

Cascade Premium Light. My favourite type of beer. It has a nice, smooth, slightly nutty flavour. Prefer to drink it by the pot (10 oz glass) because I drink fairly slowly and I don't like it to get warm.

Baileys. It's just like a chocolate milkshake, only alcoholic. Nice on ice, by itself or in coffee.

Tequlila shots. With lemon and salt, of course. Generally only drink it if I'm with friends who can be trusted to physically restrain me from doing anything monumentally stupid.

As for favourite drinking 'moment', my family has a tendency to throw random celebrations for just about any reason. 'Let's celebrate, somebody's getting married!'. 'Let's celebrate, it's somebody's birthday!'. 'Let's celebrate, it's the Winter Solstice!' 'Let's celebrate, it's Tuesday!'. :D

'Tequila exemption'? Now that really says something! :P

Bah, I never get it either why boozing should be associated for manhood (or the lack thereof). If anything, I drink goddamn Martini, love it, and last time I checked it, I still don't grow a pair of tits . 8-)

The Morrigan wrote:Vodka with either Red Bull
 Actually Red Bull is the very reason why I hate cocktails on the first place. *shudders*

Me neither, oddly enough.

I drink and I did grow a pair of tits. However I don't think the two are necessarily related.

[shrugs]

I love Red Bull, with or without vodka. Why are drinks which are loaded with caffine always so damned tasty. :(

But you ARE supposed to grow them. Sigh....

:P

 It is not caffeine; it is taurine. Much, much worse. My blood pressure can't handle it.

It does have quite high levels of caffine in it too though. Most of those drinks do. Blood pressure isn't such a big problem for me. If anything, mine's a bit on the low side. It just plays havoc with my insomnia if I drink too much of it.

Vodka, rye, and kahloua are covered by the cat exemption even if they are not equal to the source of all margarittas.

WKDs...

A Vodka/Fruit drink which is quite popular in Britain...

Of course, this is encroaching on the "Illegal Activities" territory, since I'm underage to drink... by about 11 months...
