#1 Species Disection: Gremlins

Post by Dark Silver »

So I was watching Gremlins 2: The New Batch this morning on HBO, when I began to wonder. "What the hell are the Gremlins?"

So, after pondering it at leisure this morning and this evening, I decided to ask see if anyone else has thoughts on this topic, and perhaps spark a bit of discussion on it. The following dissertation is admittedly very amature, but it is merely thrown together as I type, not prepared or aggressivly researched.

Gremlins

Gremlins: Seemingly lizardlike creatures metamorphosized from the mammalian-like Mogwai after such a creature is fed after Midnight.

They seem to possess a unstable genetic structure, in such a way that in a genetics lab, drinking various "gene-splicing potions" causes them to instantly mutate, one example being the Bat-Gremlin, the Veggie Gremlin and the Electric Gremlin.

They also seem to possess a, at minimum, rudimentary and malicious intellegence, focusing on a hierarchial structure, with one or two of a brood becoming a "Leader" Gremlin, (I.E. Spike from Gremlins 1, Mohawk and Brain from Gremlins 2: the New Batch), who can direct the Gremlin's "antics".

So, let us discuss, from this minimum of information, what the hell are these lil green freaks?

*salutes* Emperor Silver, your comment was referring to minimum of information. Perhaps I took that out of context?

I figure at all forms and times they have to be endothermic (warm blooded) because we never see evidence of reptile behavior (sunning and such).
