I have to put this here it was just to funny. SB and I were talking about what we want to be for halloween:

SB: Oh we could go as Spock and Uhura!
Me: Uhura was black.
SB: Yeah you're right, blackface might be a little inappropriate
Me: Yeah especially for you.

Pike did say armada, but he specifically said Federation.
That would be like using Army to describe the EU government.

Nit and I finally got to see it, and yes, Frigid, you were right. It ROCKS!

Although I think the most ironically funny bit is who's getting the girl, the kisses, and the 'come back alive' comments  Great twist on the past reputations there.

Although this does bring up the question on if this Spock is betrothed...

1: It's very likely this Spock would just ignore that.

2: What makes you think said lady Vulcan survived the events of the movie?

Saw it last night and I will echo the sentiments here. It was freaking amazing and an all around fantastic movie. Might be my second favorite Star Trek movie, we'll see how multiple viewings effect that.

The only real nit-pick I have, and it's a small one, is that the camera work on some of the fist-fights is rather sloppy and hard to follow at times. But that's it.
