NPC guide:
Purple: Swan Lord League: A collection of city states, of mostly human population rules by cabals of non-human shapeshifting wizards. They're called swan lords due to their favored shape being that of a swan. They are civilized and while given to quarreling with one another will close ranks against invaders. Swan Lords are mildly comtemptous of other races, although they make exemption for Rome. Even self important wizardly races respect the Legions. The coastal states are fairly friendly with Carthage.
Blue: Selkie Pirate states, former Swan Lord slaves who escaped and scattered, Selkies are themselves shape shifters. Going from seal to human and back. Currently they raid shipping preferring the ships of their former owners but being pirates they aren't picky. They are "democratic" in that each fleet and ship elects it's leaders by popular acclaim. However only those who can make their place in a crew stick by ability and cunning get this right.
Peach: Crusaders, knightly orders founded to fight against the Dark Lord, they shield the Acadians for over a century until his fall. The Knights and the inhuman tribes are currently in an uneasy truce. Most of the Knights don't believe that the orcs and other monsters can really make a go of civilization but they're unwilling to actually fight a long dragged out war against someone who hasn't actually been a threat. There are plenty of personal grudges due to someone's dad or uncle dying on an axe however.
Light Purple: Spritians, 4ft tall, green, male (all of them) and with an attitude that wouldn't be out of place in an Ogre tribe. Spiritans are believed to emerge from magic trees in the cold northern forest (yes I changed the place accept it) and are rised in a militized setting from day 1. They fight constant small unit actions against their raiding and not raiding neighbors. They're not friendly with frogs or mummys but trade with the Selkies. Other nations are vague rumors to them. Favorite Activities, sports with knives. Favorite Food, roasted frog legs.
White: Barbaricum. Tribes and federations of barbarians, mostly nomadic haunt these lands. The steppe and plain zones are home to tribes of centaurs and wolf brothers. The forests have human, firbolg and fey running wild in them. These are savage places with where villages of a couple dozens are considered mass concentrations of people and law goes as far as your sword. Tourists are considered delicious.
Okay took longer then it should of. Sorry, people kept dropping by today. I'm gonna go ahead and lob up the first post in KT and you'll get write ups of the NPCs tomorrow.
You will recieve Objectives after I get some damn sleep. No the figures in the 1st post will not show in the game, they're a framing narrative thingy, just enjoy the writing okay?
"it takes two sides to end a war but only one to start one. And those who do not have swords may still die upon them." Tolken
