"Death is an equal oppertunity punishment."
Name: Black Ice
Alligience: Decepticons
Function: Infiltrator, assassin

Profile/history: In an army of sadists and murderers, there are very few things that they truely fear. They fear displeasing the likes of Megatron and his lieutenants. That is a very real and tangible fear, given form for all to witness when some poor 'con fails. They fear defeat at the hands of the Autobots, a sure sign of their own weakness. In the end, above all, they fear their own absolute deaths.

In the back of their minds though there is a fear that stems further back, tales of boogey-bots that would take you in your recharging cycle and cast you into an existance of nightmares. They're little believed, tales told to scare and entertain. But every now and then a Cybertronian will disappear without warning, taken mysteriously. If they're lucky their bodies will be found to give a proper burial. If they're not, they're never seen again.

Black Ice is one of those shapeless fears of the nightcycles. Kept seperate and isolated from the rest of the Decepticons, Ice is a member of a small group that the rank and file heard whispers of, and very few could confirm their existance. Their isolation made it extremely difficult for them to be given away by a glance of recognition during a raid, or a casual encounter, or worse yet, a spy in the ranks.

Ice is a vicious creature, cruel and sadistic even by Decepticon standards. He delights in the pain of others, taking perverse pleasure in it.

Ice has wandered in and out of warzones for millennia. With his talents he shifts the direction of the war, one warzone at a time, assassinating troop commanders, taking out scouts carrying vital intelligence, or whatever his mission may be. His targets lay dead and he vanishes again, popping up on another world years later to wreck his unique brand of havoc upon the fabric of the Cybertronian War.

Now Ice is on Earth, once more fulfilling his role to Megatron as his far-reaching hand of death. He moves amongst both sides of the war, playing the part of each equally well. In the interior of the Decepticon ranks he has recently finished flushing out a small group of would-be traitors. What was left when they were found was very little, with markings on their armor suggesting a long and painful death.

His current mission is to infiltrate the Autobot ranks and plant the seeds of destruction.

Weaknesses:
Black Ice's job has cast him into a limited role within the Decepticon forces. Unable to rely on help or assistance from his comrades who don't know him, he is quite often on his own without support.

He lacks long ranged weaponry. What range he does have is medium ranged at the furthest, with a weapon that was designed to incapacitate though its power to do so is dimished the further the beam goes.

His own life of lies and deceptions have made him distrustful of others though he may not say it outloud. He often finds it hard to believe what people tell him, weighing it all with heavy scepticism.

Weapons:
Photon lasers - these midranged weapons cause circuits to become temporarily electromagnatized, knocking them offline till the Cybertronian's systems can compensate and reestablish the circuit.

M-lash - the monomolecular wire is contained in spools inside his hands and accessable by a panel on the flat side edge. When used up close and personal the wire is capable of cutting through nearly any known material. The panels detach from the underside of his hand and serve as both a weight and a safe area to hold the wire by.

Monomolecular edged blades - The pair of blades are "spring-loaded" into panels in his forearms. The panels flip open and the blades swing into place along the bottom of his hand and lock into place. The blades extend out several feet beyond the front of his hands. The blades are monoedged, giving it an unsurpassed cutting ability.

Data Inhibitor pistol - a small close-range handgun that fires sticky rounds that cause the Cybertronian's processor to cease transfer of data to systems. The loss of data throughout the Cybertronian's systems results in a state similar to stasis lock, leaving the victim vulnerable.

Enhanced strength and speed - to make up for his lack of ranged combat abilities, Ice has had his strength and speed upgraded using materials and components that would normally be reserved for a larger Cybertronian. The end result is that he is physically quicker and stronger then a normal Cybertronian his size and is capable of handling his own with a larger foe.

Alt Form:
Ice's first form is his Decepticon vehicle form, that of a black RAH-66 Comanche.

His second form is his Autobot vechile form, that of a silver Chrysler ME412.

His robot form is an average sized transformer. His allegiance symbol is mounted on a spindle, allowing him to change it instantly between Decepticon and Autobot. His Decepticon form is black with ice blue optics and detailing. His current Autobot form is grey and silver with black detailing and dark blue optics. His chromatic hue shifts with his allegiance, allowing him to increase his efficency in infiltrating groups.

There's no reason people can't jump in part way through the game *eyes Heroes game*. But if you're not quite ready to start, that's another ball of wax.

True....there's no reason they couldn't jump in at a later point, but yeah, I'm finalizing some things here and there, and fleshing stuff out for personal reasons, before we begin.

Oh..and Nitram, I found another Overload, GenOne flavoured......

He was a Micromaster Troop transporter, a 18 wheeler like form, but the trailer turned into a jet fighter.

I know. He, too, had the insane cargo-vs-own-size thing going on. Why do you think I'm gonna pull Shellshock, whose probably twice my size?

Now...for your reading pleasure:

----------------------------

The year is 2006.

Five years have passed since Megatron and his Decepticons performed their multistage strike against the Earth, claiming the energy rich oilfields of the Middle East, all of Africa, and much of the surrounding Eurasian continent.

Image
*Purple indicates Decepticon held territory

The Decepticon War Machine continues to work, humans pressed into slave labor under the watchful eye of Decepticon Sentinel and Guardian robots, as well as Human servants loyal to their Decepticon masters. Due to the end of plentiful, cheap oil flowing from the Middle Eastern deserts, and the Nigerian fields, Earth's countries ground to a near standstill - the producible oil fields over the rest of the planet being unable to keep up with the humans demands. Peak Oil became a looming bogey man, to a overnight terror, almost as great as the Decepticons.

If it were not for the Autobots, and the sharing of Cybertronian Technology, human life would have taken a drastic turn for the worst. Within those first few months and years, humans left the suburban areas, moving into the cities they previously shunned - in order to assist in conserving fuels spent in travel. Public transportation in the cities became the primary means of traveling across the mega-cities which sprung up in their place - powered by new generations of Nuclear Power Plants and hundreds of acres of solar collectors. No longer was owning a gasoline powered car feasible for the average man, as most oil based fuels were diverted to allow production of pesticides, fertilizers, and the contiued operation of essential services (food and medical transportation in example).

In order to stave off the complete decimation of global quality of life, the Autobots assist the humans by sharing their technology - assisting them in developing new ways to power their transportation and supply lines. While most Cybertronian technology is far to advanced for humans, production of fuel cell vehicles in appreciable numbers, massive amounts of new power plants, and a slow weening off the reliance on petroleum has begun.

Due to the newness of Autobot technology, human militaries pose no threat to the Decepticons, the human governments spend to much time attempting to keep the peace within their own borders to try to push back the Decepticon threat. The Autobots remain the only power left in the world which can fight the Decepticons, and even they are now spread thin attempting to help their allies from being destroyed by Megatron's Master stroke....

The following are some of the things which are major points, especially in Decepticon held territory.

- Due to the effects of a Peak Oil scenario, Most vehicles on the road (of which is greatly diminished amount from five years ago) are fuel cell and alternative fuel vehicles. A very profitable business has become the production of and retrofitting of older vehicles to operate on hydrogen fuel cells. As such, a vehicle is still a good alternate disguise for newly arrived Autobots.

- Military might of the humans have been greatly diminished, the Autobots have not allowed their technology to be used to outfit human military aircraft or submarines, and the available "fuel cell".

- The Autobots have made agreements to assist the humans in finding and producing new oil prospects and Energon, as well as assisting them in researching new ways to produce and utilize Energon cubes in their technology. The Autobots refuse to help humans develop these technologies for war purposes.

- Autobot terraforming and irrigation sciences have been utilized to help increase the food output of human farms, helping to stave off the potential of mass deaths due to lack of food.

Decepticon Held Territory:
-Africa
-- The Sahara Region, once known as the Sahara Desert, has become the breadbasket of the Decepticon Empire. The entire desert has been terraformed into millions and millions of acres of usbale, airable farmland, worked by human slaves, watched over by Sentinal Robots. Semi-automated irrigation drones keep the lands moist enough to allow plant growth, while Decepticon science, keeps the weather patterns predictable and suitable to growth of crops. The area is divided into massive, multi-million acre plantations, with the humans living in specially constructed detenetion facilities when not in the fields, and closely monitored by and kept inline by explosive implants which can be activated remotely by any Decepticon or Guardian Robot.

-- South Africa, once a free independent nation, has become the crown jewel of Decepticon held Africa. the entire country has been converted to a Cybertronian landscape, factories and energy production facilities cover the metal plated landscape - producing millions of Energon cubes, Sentinel and Guardian robots and drone warriors, as well as new weapons.

-- African rain forest has been all but decimated, except for a couple hundred thousand acres near the Congo. Most of Africa has been converted to Decepticon use, the planet's crust terraformed to appear like Cybertron. Energon production facilities dot the landscape, as does Decepticon outpost, and factories. There is little of the continent which is not used to further the Decepticon War Machine in someway.

-- Any potential source of energy, from the Nigerian oil fields, to the flooding of the Nile River, to rubies, diamonds and sapphires, are utilized in the production of Energon. The Decepticons are literally, draining the planet dry, mass amounts of Energon cubes being sent back to Cybertron via Space Bridge - while they slowly mechaform the planet to look like their home. At this point in time, 75% of Africa has been mechaformed.

-Middle East
--Much like Africa, the Middle Eastern deserts are no longer. The Decepticons began the first attempts at mechaforming the planet here, and as such, nearly all of the Middle East is a near duplicate of Cybertron on a grander scale. Megatron's headquarters lie in former Qatar, a massive Cybertronian castle, which houses the central control board for the Earth-based Space Bridge systems. There are very to no traces that human beings ever built a civilization here.

-- all Middle Eastern oilfields are converted to the Decepticon cause, producing massive amounts of Energon, with the bulk of it being shipped back to Cybertron to repower the Decepticon War Machine there.

-- While not as heavy industrial as most of Africa, there are hundreds of factories in the area, producing not only Decepticon weapons, and other pieces of technology (including the rebuilding of the Nemesis) - but the production of hundreds of thousands of Decepticon protoforms, awaiting only the ignition of their Laser Cores and surge of Spark Energy to empower them.

Other Areas:
- The Decepticons keep a looser leash on the areas surronding their primary grounds, utilizing the lands to create concentration camps which would make Hitler himself weep in terror at the atrocities being delivered upon his fellow man. Decepticon War parties regularly have "target practice" in one prosperous Human cities. Humans in Decepticon held areas are little more than slave animals and cattle - to be used and eliminated at the Decepticons and ultimately Megatron's whims.

- Food production plantations are present over a great deal of Italy and the Western Bloc nations under Decepticon control, with the concentration camps spread over the entire empire, but focused primarily in Turkey and western Asia.

This is the death of Stryke's friend:

Stryke pulled himself out of the opening at the top of the elevator shaft. "All clear," he said as he walked into the room. The glass dome that capped the tower had been shattered ages ago. "Keep low," said the dark green Autobot as he crept to the edge of the tower. Stryke was a big, blocky Autobot with a bulky machine pistol in his hand and a cannon mounted on his right shoulder. He peaked over the ruined equipment and remains of the wall. "Yeah, just what we're looking for."

The other Autobot was a shorter and slimmer silver robot with black streaks. He carried a laser carbine with an under barrel attachment as he crept up next to his friend. His head popped up. "Yeah, great view." Before them stretched kilometers of ruined buildings and battered roadways, casualties of the long war. In the distance were the outer walls of Megatron's fortress of Kaon. Between here and there were retractable bridges, extendable barricades, and defence towers.

A sensor cluster extended from the smaller Autobot's shoulder and began sweeping the area. "Doesn't look that good for the big offense," said Stryke.

"Yeah," Quicksilver agreed. "The sensor data just makes it worse. The defences are too strong. A head on assault on this place is asking to get our chasses handed to us. We don't have the strength yet."

"Too bad," said Stryke. "I was hoping after the way we cleaned their chronometers as Antihex that we could end this with a big push."

"So was I," said Quicksilver. "Looks like we'll have to kick a few more Decepticreeps into the wreckage pile and pull the teeth of some of these defences before we can do the big push."

"I'm up for that. Ironhide is going to be disappointed."

"Ironhide is always disappointed. It allows him to be grumpy all the time. Come on, we've got to get the bad news back to Prime."

"Right." The Autobots descended down the shaft.

Quicksilver landed first. "Careful, we're still in Decepticon territory. We may have beaten Starscream and his Seekers into junkicons, but that still leaves a Megatron with a whole bunch of other soldiers."

"Stop being so nervous," said Stryke. "You have me here to back you up if we get into trouble. As always."

Quicksilver peaked out. "It's clear." He transformed into a sleek silver vehicle with a black stripe along the sides. "Let's roll out."

Stryke transformed into a long, multiwheeled vehicle with a top mounted long barrelled cannon. The pistol became the base of a smaller secondary weapon. "With you," Stryke said.

Quicksilver darted ahead, crossing a long bridge and then a avenue lined with shattered buildings. Stryke followed behind at full speed, unable to keep up with the coasting Autobot. "Don't get too far ahead," Stryke warned.

"Faster we're out of here the safer we'll be," said Quicksilver as he darted through a field of rubble. Ahead was the ramp leading up to an abandoned city terrace.

"Too fast and I won't be there to bail you out when you get into trouble," said Stryke.

"There won't be any- uh oh." Three sleek battleship grey hovercrafts appeared at the edge of the terrace, preparing to descend the ramp. All of them had shot barreled gun turrets on the top and a pair of small missile pods. The Decepticon symbol was embossed on the nose of the hovercrafts. "Trouble!" Quicksilver sent as he turned abruptly, nearly flipping himself over, and sped into cover.

The Decepticons unleashed several particle beam blasts that tore white-hot holes in the roadway and the rubble. Quicksilver transformed and fired blindly back before ducking back into cover. Stryke transformed, his feet hitting the ground running. "Quicksilver!" he shouted.

The Decepticons transformed, becoming grey metal humanoids with carbines in their hands and rocket pods on their shoulders. They were reformated transformers who had joined Megatron and been changed into forms more suitable for war. The Autobots despised them as cowards and turncoats, the other Decepticons despised them as weak until they proved themselves otherwise. They were Megatron's least valuable warriors, but they were still warriors and Megatron would squeeze out of them every advantage he could get.

Stryke's shoulder cannon fired an explosive shell at the Decepticons, who were already scattering for cover. The blast cratered the ramp and sent smoke and shrapnel through the air. Stryke raked the top of the terrace with his energy pistol, saturating the area with rapid fire energy pulses. Quicksilver rose up and added in his gun.

"Piece of junk traitors!" Stryke roared. One of the Decepticons popped up and fired a missile from each shoulder pod. One of the missiles shot for Stryke, the other arced toward Quicksilver. Both Autobots leapt away, ending up behind the base of the same ruined building. The missiles detonated where they had been less than a second ago.

All three Decepticons had risen up know and were firing at a steady rate with their carbines. The bolts blew glowing holes in what was left of the building's walls. "This is not so good," said Quicksilver.

"You think?" replied Stryke. He extended his pistol around the corner and unleashed a stream of energy bolts that drove one Decepticon back under cover for a moment. "What's left of this building isn't going to last too much longer and then we are out of cover."

"I'll distract right, you break left," said Quicksilver. "Close and kill." Decepticon particle beams were now eating holes in the wall next to them.

"Sounds like a good plan, under the circumstances," said Stryke. Two violet particle beams flashed in between the two Autobots. "Ready."

Quicksilver broke left. "Go!" The sensor mount on his shoulder sent out blasts of bright light and sensor static and he launched jammer modules and flares at the Decepticon's position. Stryke ran wildly, sweeping the top with a long burst from his pistol as he closed the gap.

The Decepticons were momentarily confused and disorientated, but they recovered quickly. Two of them drove Quicksilver back into cover with blasts from their carbines, the Autobot's left arm smoking from a glancing blow. The third exchanged fire with Stryke.

Two bolts from Stryke's pistol struck the Decepticon, cratering and weakening armour on his right shoulder and his upper chest. The Decepticon stood up fully and fired missiles from both of his shoulder launchers. As he did so Stryke stopped for a moment and steadied his aim. A tremendous blast fired from his shoulder cannon and then the Autobot was diving away.

The missiles just missed Stryke, but the detonations sent shrapnel knifing into his armour in a dozen places. Fortunately, no major circuits were damaged and he was still in full fighting shape, although now would be a bad time to get hit by Thundercracker's flame thrower. The Decepticon hadn't been so fortunate. Stryke's blast had caught him just below the head and breached his armour. His body was now sprawled on the ground above with smoke rising from the cavity in his chest and optics darkened.

The other two Decepticons turned on Stryke, sending particle beam blasts at the Autobot. Quicksilver popped up and unleashed a flurry of laser blasts, scoring a direct hit on one of the Decepticon's left arm and driving them back into cover. Stryke used the opportunity to ascend the sloped sides of the city terrace with a mighty leap and then scrambling up the rest of the way.

One of the Decepticons rushed over to gun him down as Stryke pulled himself up. The Autobot raised his pistol and fired a storm of energy bolts at the Decepticon at point blank range. The first couple of energy bolts cratered armour and the rest burned their way through to tear up the robot's insides. Smoke poured from the head sized rent in the armour and broken circuitry crackled. The Decepticon's optics faded as he crashed to the ground. The third Decepticon tackled Stryke and their momentum carried them over the side of the terrace. The slid their way down, punching and grappling with each other.

Stryke landed and the bottom. The Decepticon rose up and slammed his breastplate with his fist, denting it. He rose up again for another blow and Stryke let him. The blow further deformed the Autobot's armour, but allowed Stryke to get his hands on the Decepticon's torso and push him off. The 'con landed on his back and both transformers raced to their feet. Stryke won and kicked the the Decepticon in chest, knocking him back down.

Stryke stomped on the Decepticon's already damaged left arm, crushing it. Then he stomped on the Decepticon's chest. Armour bent. He stomped again and it buckled. A third time and it deformed. A fourth and it crumpled inward. Stryke could feel internal components being crushed under his foot. The Decepticon squirmed like a pinned bug. A roaring noise filled the air.

"Oh no!" said Quicksilver. "It's Deathstrike!" The midnight blue heavy fighter screamed through the air on the trail of thrust provided by his powerful engines. The Decepticon strike leader swept passed the two Autobots and began turning to make his attack run.

Stryke stepped away from the crippled Decepticon. "We can stand in fight," he said.

"Sure," said Quicksilver. "And we might win. Or he might kill us. Either way, odds are more Decepticreeps will be joining the party before its over and then our circuits will really be cooked."

"Not enough cover around here," said Stryke as he transformed into vehicle mode to join Quicksilver. "I'm not fast or maneuverable enough. He'll gun me down if I try to run." He half flew up the ramp in the wake of the faster Quicksilver.

"Not if I can help it. Transform and hide in the Iconis Tunnel. I'll draw his attention."

"He'll gun you down for sure!" objected Stryke as the Autobot's sped passed ruined buildings. Deathstrike was on their tail now. X-ray laser pulses from his nose cannon left violet ionization tracks in the air as the Decepticon opened fire. Stryke's gun swivvled around to fire a blast at the Decepticon and disrupt his attack run.

"Hard Right!" Quicksilver said and turned. Deathstrike's laser cannon blew huge holes in the builing behind him. The Decepticon jet screamed passed. "That's some seriously nasty firepower he's carrying."

"He's not the only one," said Stryke. "Fighting is better than running."

"I can loose him in the Deckris Maze," said Quicksilver. "The only other alternative is letting him practice his attack runs until his buddies arrive and he's a better shot than those three losers we just tangled with."

"I still don't like this plan," said Stryke.

"Iconis Tunnel ahead!" shouted Quicksilver. The long tunnel stretched for more than two kilometers over a great rift and ended on the other side at the battered plateau city of Metricon. Lage chunks of the wall and the tunnel roof were missing but it was still fairly structurally sound.

"I hope the Decepticons haven't mined it again," said Stryke as he rushed for the tunnel.

"Mined?!" squeeked Quicksilver as he darted ahead into the tunnel. "The Decepticons mined it?"

"That was a while back," said Stryke as he neared the tunnel. "They probably haven't done it again." Behind him Deathstrike roared through the air, coming in low and fast.

"You've got company!" Quicksilver yelled and spun.

"Die Autobot," Deathstrike growled and two missiles dropped from his wings.

"Incoming!" Quicksilver yelled. Stryke was at the edge of the tunnel. The Autobot transformed and flung himself into the tunnel wall, trying to make himself as difficult a target as possible. Two missiles streaked for him. One overshot and blew another hole in the tunnel wall. The other struck the Autobot in the back and exploded.

Stryke sagged to his knees, smoke pouring from a crater in his back. "Stryke!" said Quicksilver. The Autobot slowly stood up. "How bad is it buddy?"

"Bad. Heavy damage to my primary systems."

"Can you transform and roll?"

"I . . . think so." Stryke transformed back into his vehicle form.

"I'll buy you time buddy," said Quicksilver, transforming back into vehicle mode.

"No!" said Stryke.

"If he doesn't see someone come out the other end of the tunnel he's going to know he's got us in here. He'll trap us in from that side and his Decepticreep buddies will come up this way. If he sees the Autobot he didn't fire upon come blazing out, he'll give chase. It's the only plan that will work. See you back in Iocon." Quicksilver sped off. Stryke lumbered after him.

Deathstrike was circling back to see if any Autobots emerged. If they did he would run them down and destroy them. If not, he would transform and dig them out. Stryke, if he still functioned, would be a formidable warrior but Quicksilver would die easy. The speedy little Autobot whipped out of the tunnel and then turned hard. The Decepticon turned and swooped down toward him.

Quicksilver took a hard left to prevent Deathstrike drawing a bead on him and turned right and drove straight ahead, smashing through a ruined building and causing the Decepticon to overshoot. Quicksilver turned right again to speed ahead, left the road to crash through another ruined building, and then whipped down a road, cornering with impossible skill to turn left yet again and speed down a bridge rapm that connected Metricon to the Deckris Maze one kilometer below.

Deathstrike cursed as he overshot the speedy little Autobot again. The Decepticon was fast, but not maneuverable and the keeping up with Quicksilver's sudden rapid turns was proving difficult. Very difficult. By the time the Decepticon had lined up to take a run at the bridge, Quicksilver had left it and was darking among the dark towers of the Deckris Maze.

Once Deckris had been an industrial center with tall refinery towers, smelters, and transmission towers providing goods to all of Cybertron. The war had shifted priorities and resources in other directions and for a long time Deckris had been dark and abandoned. The tall buidlings made it easy to hide and dodge Decepticon fliers but the deadly terrain was also a good place for Decepticon ambushers. Deckris was a no man's land, no longer valuable and hazardous to both sides.

Quicksilver darted inside an empty plant and transformed. Deathstrike's lack of maneuverability would further hamper his jet form in here. As long as he proceeded cautiously, he should be able to exit the Maze without being spotted and make his way back to Iocon. Meanwhile, Stryke would have been able to put some distance between him and the Decepticons and should make it back okay.

He headed across the empty factory floor towards a loading bay door. He peeked outside. All clear. A quick dash would take him to another building. He broke from cover and began to run. Then a knife of white-hot pain shot through his vitals. He saw the edge of a glowing hole in the front of his armour and then his motive system stopped working and he fell.

He heard the sound of engines from behind him and above as Deathstrike descended from the roof. "How?" he whispered.

"I didn't try to chase you into the maze Autobot," growled Deathstrike. "I went up and watched you instead. Then I transformed, dropped to the roof, and waited for you to come out. And now you die."

Dark Silver I'm going to be blunt. The Autobots should be be mostly dead (I'm figuring 70 to 80% casualities) if they have not turned to human allies to help offset the massive advantages of the Decepticon Empire. Meanwhile the human governments for the most part should be banning togather and demanding the right to defend themselves from Megatron's aggression. It would not take a very bright person to point out to Prime that bluntly, he's the one who brought Megatron here, he didn't mean to do it, he didn't want to do it, but he did it all the same and refusing to arm humanity while he's getting his ass kicked is an act of lunacy. The Autobots are outnumbered, outgunned and outfueled they need allies that can actually dent Decepticon Armor.

If Prime can't accept that I would expect there to be Autobots that do since they are not brainwashed zombies but thinking beings.

Overload is one such 'bot, as I'm shaping him. He's seen how nastily humans will fight when backed into a corner, and he wants them fighting with him.

While the Autobots wouldn't mind the help, you have to look at the state of the world. A massive chunk of the First and Third world just went from being free, independant, to conquered, their lands raped, their peoples slaughtered and objected to terrors and conditions which are almost inhuman. The new Decepticon threat has all but eliminated the prospects for oil to flow from those areas, cutting off a major supply of crude, and crippling all of Earth's economy.

Infrastructure has since broken down, and only now, is Cybertronian technology becoming readily available to general public use. The world's militaries are busy playing police, and keeping civilization from collapsing back into the Dark Ages - and while that may include defending their borders against renewed Decepticon incursions - the Autobots are the only ones capable of actively waging a war against the Decepticons. Humans, even if the Autobots would give them all of the Cybertronian tech, and means to replicate it enmasse, would NOT be able to put up a fight before they were slaughtered even more so. The Autobots command want to discourage humans from waging active offenses against the 'Con's, but won't dissuade them from defense (infact, Autobots regularly lend their hand to the military in defensive measures).

the Fuelcells and superbatteries, while great for civilian and infrastructural use, aren't up to snuff yet for military purposes, except for most extreme emergencies, the Air Force is grounded, their jets pretty useless as gas guzzlers. While the navy has the use of nuclear powered ships and subs, there's no nuclear powered jets or helo's yet.

I'm not giving the Autobots massive casualities, the game is focusing on the Transformers, on both sides of the war, (primarily on the Autobots side since that is the PC's). Humans will have their role to play, but face it, their only supporting NPC's.....that's not to say a few old faces didn't meet their Deactivation in the past five years....and some "new" faces haven't made an appearence.

I imagine that Earth's militaries have Autobot help in maximizing the effectiveness of their existing technology in utilizing their science and industrial base to make anti-Decepticon weapons, but there simply aren't the resources available (thanks for devastating Western society Megatron) to start making a Cybertron equivalent tech base.

That would explain Stryke's Alt-form, if he'd been helping military forces attempt to get some defense going
