I like this idea very much, and was the idea I had in mind when I made my original character. For the Autobots to not have dedicated Air Guardian force makes things much more difficult for the fight, especially as the Decepticons are very coordinated with their air assault tactics.

Having Jetfire be the official Air Commander, coordinating all air assault tactics might be one of the things that has a chance of turning the tide of this war.

And as an unrelated sidenote, this has the possibility of bringing this battle to a conclusion more quickly, which makes me happy - for more than just selfish reasons.

Now you just KNOW that Hornet's gonna beg and plead to be allowed into THAT little club.

Hey LadyTevar:

I saw this posted on SD.Net. This is of Arcee, but repainted red and with a few other changes, I do believe you have your model of Crimson.

ugh....Movie style model....

way to spindly to be a proper Transformer....looks way to fragile, like I could break her over my knee with no problem....

i prefer the Energon look for Arcee...if you have to choose one....though honestly, GenOne Arcee was the epitome of how a fembot should look.

That may be true, but I thought it was cool that there was a model done for her at all for the movie - it came as a pleasant surprise.

But, more on topic - given the current events in the game right now, I do believe Shockwave and the female Deceptcons are about to become deeply unhappy. Shockwave more than the others, given the appalling amount of ordinance sent his way.

Well played, everyone.

Auto'd hits cleared with DS.

Thus continues the second worst day of Shockwave's life.

The absolute worst was when Elite-One and the girls stole all his Energon stores and painted him neon pink in his sleep.

The only thing that makes me nervous about Superion forming now is that there are at least two Decepticon gestalt teams unaccounted for - including the Combaticons' form Bruticus.

That said, may Shockwave fall - the longer he remains online and functional, the more nested plans he can activate.

General Havoc, the way you're developing Hornet is wonderfully well done. That was an excellently poignant scene.

...And I'm itching to play even more now.

......

You know...for a bit, I actually thought about doing something like that for the scene changes........

Now I'm not sure if I should have...or kept it like this.

So...since the question has come up.....

The four million year interim between the launching and subsequent crash of the Ark and Nemesis on Earth, and the reactivation of Cybertron is pretty much a blank slate. The War continued on the planet, obviously reduced a bit as some of the greatest "heroes" of both sides were lost on the two ships. If you can find them, IDW's "War Within" series, volume 2 would best describe how things went on - a constant struggle between the two factions, command of the Autobots falling upon Ultra Magnus and a much smaller Fortress Maximus (before he got giant sized), Shockwave continuing to lead the Decepticons.

Eventually, the Autobots were forced into hiding - swiching to gorilla warfare- some (like Fortress Maximus and his followers) left Cybertron to start life on a new planet, or where flat out obliterated by the Decepticon war parties.

After most of the Autobot resistance had been put to "controllable" status (I.E. the Decepticons outnumbered the Autobots on planet by at least seven to one), Shockwave took to rebuilding portions of Cybertron, and utilizing nascent super-luminal drives to raid nearby star systems and raid their planets for energy. This would have been done while Cybertron had become a rouge planet, and thus was basically free floating through our arm of the Milky Way.

There is a period of deactivation, known as the Great Shutdown, which lasted for one million years, where Cybertron was completely shutdown, the planet itself rendered inert for all intents and purposes, and every Transformer on the planet went into stasis lock. This period ended approximately 300,000 years prior to 1984 and the reactivation of Prime, Megatron, and their followers on Earth. During this time, Decepticon raiding began in earnest, with Shockwave giving the orders to drain any planets they find as much as possible in order to keep Cybertron functional.

Obviously, it would have been energy wasteful to BZD every single planet the Decepticons raided, and thus, some civilizations they came across were not completely wiped out, and the planet wasn't tapped of all it's energy resources for various reasons - perhaps Cybertron was drifting out of their crafts range, or the planet was just to pathetic to bother with draining it all or whatever. Thus there are still some civilizations who have legends of the giant metal warriors from the sky coming to rend destruction upon their world in ages past.

If there's any other questions, post them. Realize I'm posting this while I'm tired and getting ready to goto sleep, so it may be a bit disjointed. If any clarifications are needed, ask away.

Yeah... saving the world. That's exactly what it is. Just ignore that I'm likely gonna be under heavy repairs again after this fight...

Speaking from a third-person standpoint, Shockwave needs to die.

From a slightly more selfish standpoint, Blindside will be both very happy and disappointed that he'll return to find the cyclops dead.

As the saying goes, particularly for this battle (if not the war), "cut off the head, and the body will die." Having him offline permanently will result in much fewer nasty surprises for our metallic heroes.

We're trying. He's just really freakin' hard to kill.

Where's Unicron? Unicron killed Shockwave easily enough...

On second thought, we don't need Unicron. No reason to incite the GM to bring Unicron down on us just to get rid of Shockwave.

Why does everyone expect the civbot with no weaponry to speak of to kill off the second most badass Decepticon of all time?

And he's only got one arm left not to mention being fucked up! Plus if you didn't want to kill him you shouldn't have attempted his kidnapping.
